Continence, Men’s & Women’s Health

Pelvic floor dysfunction is increasingly prevalent with aging, particularly following childbirth and menopause.

At Endeavour Physiotherapy, our Women’s Health Physiotherapist can assess and help manage urinary and faecal incontinence in both men & women, prolapse, sexual dysfunction and pelvic pain disorders.

Real time ultrasound, a non-invasive method of evaluating the pelvic floor is available, useful in not only assessment, but also in rehabilitation of pelvic floor function through the provision of visual feedback of muscle activity.  Other treatment techniques are also incorporated into comprehensive management programs where appropriate, including electrical stimulation, dilator therapy, ultrasound and laser.

Antenatal and postnatal advice and education is offered, and treatments of various conditions ranging from musculoskeletal dysfunction during pregnancy to the management of mastitis and perineal pain following childbirth are also provided.
